Good morning and happy Thursday! I’m so happy to introduce little Sloane! Her Mom and Dad won my drawing for one year’s worth of free baby photos! Sloane is just adorable! She was pretty much awake for the whole session and was just a little wiggle worm. I don’t blame her though – she’s been in Mom for a long time! Make sure to keep an eye for Sloane and her family as she’ll be a regular on my blog every other month.
I’m very happy I stayed true to my style of journalistic photography. I really like to capture whomever I’m photographing in their natural state and surroundings. But I also really wanted to give Sloane’s parents some good portraits of just her. So I actually went back a second time just to capture Sloane.
Now, the whole reason that I started this drawing was because I wanted to build my newborn portfolio. This was actually my second newborn session. You can view my first session here. As many of you know I’m primarily a wedding and senior photographer. I knew I had to do something a little different to start my newborn portfolio so I thought giving a family free baby sessions would be a great exchange for letting me photograph their little bundle of joy for a year to build my portfolio. I’m very excited to see little Sloane and myself grow this year!
Okay, so Spring is arriving and that means sun, flowers and spring photos! I’m very excited for this year’s spring mini session! The location for this year will be at the Wooden Tulip Festival in Woodburn. If you haven’t been there you’re missing out! Make sure to check out the link to their site. This special is good for one day only. Props are always welcome and you’ll want to dress for spring.
